High speed video film of the birds from the Martin Griffith Preserve. Taken during the course of the Biomechanics of Flight Class at Stanford taught by Professor David Lentink of the Lentink Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
This footage was then analyzed using a Motion Capture software suite to study the hovering behavior of the swallows seen during the video. Results were compiled for the final project of the biomechanics of flight class in an academic paper format.
