Eiffel Workshop

3-day design workshop organized at Ecole Centrale Paris

Date: May 2012
Location: Ecole Centrale Paris
Team: Alexandre Jais, Francois Marechal, Guillermo de Coux Gonzalez
Role: Workshop instructor

I first became involved with the Eiffel project through my participation in the first Eiffel worship in 2011, with my team's project winning the workshop that year. I officially joined the project the next year and it led me to be part of the teaching team for the Eiffel Workshop in 2012. This 3-day design workshop organized in collaboration with the CPI Programme (Essec Business School, Ecole Centrale Paris and Strate College of design) and Toyota was targeted for first year students looking for an intense dive in design thinking.
Their goal was to design and build a dirty prototype of a urban micro mobility vehicle, taking into account both functionnal and technical aspects of the design. We forced this audience of mainly engineers to think about their user's stories and empathize with them to make them go beyond purely technical considerations. We received truly amazing contributions from the students as well as very positive feedback from the students and our partners.
